The Bride and Groom will begin their fantasy wedding escapade with an indulgent 60-minute Balinese spa treatment in the private surrounds of their Naladhu House prior to their journey across the lagoon to our special island enclave.
Stepping onto the white sands of Guli Fushi, your own private wedding island, your chosen site will be decorated with island coconut palms, blood-red ginger stems and multi-hued tropical flowers, with a white silk and braided palm archway. This picture-perfect scene awaits the Bride, who will be escorted down a torch-lit beach path by an entourage of well-wishers dressed in traditional Maldivian sarongs, to be greeted by the Groom. As the beat of Maldivian drums announces the arrival of the Bodu Katheeb, or island chief, the traditional island wedding rituals begin…
Flame ritual – The lighting of torches symbolizes your passion for each other, while the need to continuously maintain that flame signifies the strength of your love.
Floral vine ritual – A long vine of intertwined flowers is placed around the Bride and Groom to symbolize the unity of your desires, dreams and good health.
Sand ritual – Bride and Groom mix two different coloured sands in a glass vase to symbolize that your lives are now combined and can no longer be separated.
Rings Ritual – This is to symbolize the infinity of your love and the fact that your lives will now be joined forever.
After you have exchanged your vows, toast your nuptial bliss with a bottle of our finest champagne, along with our chef’s special canapés to commemorate your first moments as husband and wife, while a photographer captures images of these unforgettable timeless moments.
And of course, with your own private island comes your own private chef! He will prepare a delicious and personalized BBQ dinner on the beach as you indulge in your first sundown dinner as husband and wife.
While you are enjoying your first evening under a blanket of stars, back at Naladhu, your House Master will be transforming your House’s bath into a romantic sanctuary, with a special floral aromatherapy infinity bath ritual of rose petals, jojoba extracts and essential oils, to be enjoyed with sips of your chosen liqueur and indulgent handmade chocolate truffles.
Wake up to start your first day as a married couple with a champagne breakfast, prepared on your House’s private deck, before planting a coconut tree on the shores of our island to symbolize the beginning of your new life together. You will also be pampered with a couples’ facial treatment by our spa therapists before ending your first full day as a couple aboard a traditional dhoni, watching the sun disappear into the blue waters of Naladhu.

Terms and Conditions:
- The wedding is only symbolic in nature and not legal and valid.
- Wedding and ceremonial arrangements can only be finalized after a minimum stay of two days on our island to ensure sufficient timing for preparation. These rates are not inclusive of accommodation.
- Wedding rings and bridal gowns will need to be supplied by the Bride and Groom, or alternatively, traditional Maldivian garments are available in Male.
- CANCELLATION POLICY: 25% of the package rate will be charged for cancellations 1 week before the wedding; 50% of the package rate will be charged for cancellations three days before the wedding; 100% of the package rate will be charged for cancellations 1 day before the wedding.
