We’ll give you an easy start to some watersports adventures with the complimentary canoes provided for you to enjoy the beautiful lagoon fronting the island. For those feeling a bit more adventurous, try windsurfing. Don’t worry if it’s your first try – we’ll encourage you with a lesson or two that will enable you to enjoy the wind and sea in a new and challenging way.
During surfing season, surfers will discover that these islands offer ideal surfing conditions. With a handful of some of the best surfing destinations in the Maldives only a quick boat ride from Naladhu, you’ll have many opportunities to try this exhilarating sport.
All surfers wishing to surf from Naladhu can do so under what we call the ‘ticket to ride’ system, managed by our professional partners at Tropicsurf. Surfer numbers are limited to eight to keep the experience hands-on and individually tailored, so booking in advance of your arrival is highly recommended. Advance booking also receive a discount.

Beginners
Tropicsurf’s Dream program is a detailed instructional course. Starting at level one in the calm waters of the Naladhu lagoon, you’ll learn about safety, equipment, reading waves and surfing techniques. No experience is required. All equipment is supplied.
Competency in this course qualifies you to hit the waves in a level two course where you’ll experience the magic of gliding across your first emerald waves in our beautiful island paradise. Competency at level two allows you to join the ticket to ride program detailed above.
